What is the best deal I can get online regarding ink for my HP PSC 1315? Which sellers are reputable?

I wouldn’t bother buying new inks. Even at a cheaper price. If there’s a Walgreens near you. You can take your existing cartridges in there. And depending on their facility.. They’ll be able to re-fill your ink for you. Both my color cartridge and Black color cartridge together will run me $ 25.00 when I go. Yours might be more, or even less.

I am looking for a small portable printer for a family member. I need it for a mac, I have a small single sheet printer for the pc but need one for the mac. It really only needs to be a little wider than a sheet of paper and does not need to be color, Any ideas?

Try the HP deskjet 470. It’s a compact printer, which should do the trick. It almost looks like half a shoebox :P

Brother Printers?

Hey-
I have a Brother MFC-5460CN printer. My other one was messed up, so they sent me a new one. Anyway, where do you connect this printer to the computer? I have already looked at the instruction manual on the internet, and it suprinsingly doesn’t say anything. Either give me a link to where it clearly states this answer, or tell me in detail. Thanks in advance.

Hi

If its USB, you connect the square end of the usb cable to the printer and the rectangular end of the usb to your pc.

If its parallel (a much larger plug with lots of spikes inside) you connect one end to the printer and the other to the pc.

You will also need to plug the printer into a power point.

Hi, I recently printed some photos of my favourite bands onto photo paper (y’know, the shiny stuff?) I accidently scratched it and realized the photos are sensitive to sharp and even dull things. What can I do to make it so that the color doesn’t smudge or get scratched off?

You were probably not using good quality paper. I have tried nearly everything and the only paper that gives good sharp images and will not smudge are Canon Photo Paper Plus and Canon Photo Paper Pro. Seriously, nothing else comes close. And the paper is such good quality that you can even put the photo under running water and it will not affect the photo.

All printers use lots of ink and all ink is expensive. Go to www.epson.com and have a look and don’t forget to check Clearance. I’ve been using Epson printers for the last 10+ years and find them the best and they do have the best warranty in the industry. Then, Go to http://www.inkproducts.com/ and buy a CISS for your printer. It will save you tons of money, you never change cartridges and never run out of ink [yes, you do have to fill the tanks once in a while] Bulk ink is cheap. The CISS will pay for itself in a month.

Your best bet is to print on a heavy paper (a card stock will do) and the have them laminated. Trying to run any kind of plastic through an inkjet printer will jam the printer. Even if you could run the plastic through the printer, plastic requires special inks. Inkjet ink will smudge/not dry on plastic. You might even consider just printing on a good quality photopaper for inkjet printers, then getting the fake id cards laminated. That will give you some thickness for the cards and also makes sure they are glossy both from the paper and the lamination. Many office supply stores offer laminating services as well as printing and copying services.
